Picturing Life on the Road

Living out of a tour van may not always be glamorous, but with a photographer on hand, tours become extremely picturesque. Nathan Heffernan is a photographer who gets such a pleasure. Touring with friends in Coventry based Coast to Coast, Nathan has been up and down the UK and over to mainland Europe to photograph life both on and off the stage.

Coast to Coast - Day to Day

Whilst Coast to Coast themselves have been proving to everyone that they are one of the next bands to make it big Nathan has been capturing it all from free time in nearby parks, to rest stops to the nightly performances that the band have been gracing audiences of all sizes with. Each photo is as spectacular as the last and truly showcases the innate ability Nathan has to capture it all.

However, Nathan has also been responsible for some of the bands tour videos, taking it upon himself to spend the night after shows editing down footage and videos ready for the next day, so they can be posted, viewed and watched by those following not only his but also the bands account.

Having been photographing the band since 2016 Nathan has been their consistent tour photographer over a span of now three years, and it truly shows with him getting the best photos from each member, even if they have changed over time, their working and personal relationship allowing for cohesive work to take place. However, when talking with Nathan he explained why during the last few tours with the band he has taken to more shooting the band outside of venues, wishing to keep his content fresh, documenting the entire tour instead of just the shows they play.
